1. Who is responsible for your data
fade is currently operated by @elite, who determines how personal data is used for this private preview. The final legal controller identity, business address and privacy contact will be published before public registration opens.
2. Information we collect
We collect information that is needed to provide and protect the service:
- Account information: email address, username, encrypted password and account preferences.
- Profile content: bio text, links, images, audio, styles and other content you choose to publish.
- Security and usage data: IP address, device and browser information, timestamps, error logs and interactions used for security and service analytics.
- Connected accounts: basic information returned by services such as Discord, but only when you choose to connect them.
- Payment information: subscription status and transaction references. Full card details should be handled by the payment provider, not stored by fade.
3. How and why we use data
We use personal data to create accounts, host pages, remember settings, provide support, prevent abuse, understand reliability and deliver paid features if they are introduced.
Depending on the activity, processing is based on performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the platform, your consent, or compliance with a legal obligation. You can withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.
4. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell your personal data. Information may be shared only where needed with carefully selected providers that help run hosting, content delivery, databases, storage, email, payments, authentication, security or analytics.
Information may also be disclosed when required by valid law, to protect users and the platform, or as part of a business reorganization with appropriate safeguards. A final list of active processors will be published before launch.
5. Cookies and local storage
Essential cookies or local storage may be used for login sessions, security and saved preferences. Optional analytics or marketing cookies will not be enabled for EU visitors without the required notice and choice.
6. How long we keep data
Account and profile data is kept while your account is active. After deletion, data is removed or anonymized within a reasonable period unless it must be kept longer for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backups, accounting or another legal duty. Specific retention periods will be documented before launch.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, and particularly under the GDPR, you may have the right to:
- access and receive a copy of your personal data;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion or restriction of processing;
- receive portable data in a commonly used format;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
8. Security and international transfers
We use access controls, encryption in transit, rate limits and monitoring designed to protect personal data. No online system can guarantee perfect security.
If data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, an approved transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards will be used where required.
9. Children
fade is not intended for children under 13. Where local law sets a higher age for independent consent, a parent or guardian must provide valid consent. If we learn that data was collected without the required consent, we will take steps to remove it.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when fade’s features, providers or legal responsibilities change. Material updates will be communicated where required, and the revision date will always appear at the top.
